2024 Gmail app privacy reddit

I have over 5 email accounts and 10 of them are all handled by Apple Mail on my iOS, iPadOS, and macOS device (s) (I don’t use non-Apple devices in my daily life). 4 of those accounts are Gmail accounts. There are no Battery settings that can be changed to prevent this meaning the app has to be opened to receive emails. Works fine on my 8T. You might try clearing the data cache. For comparison, FB Messenger is less than 100MB and WhatsApp is 115MB. But I do see why Gmail has 400MBs considering the features it offers when compared to Outlook, Yahoo, Spark and so on.
